Every Sunday our hungry friends in the community come to a parking lot on Main Street for a sack lunch ... and so much more.

A sandwich, a bag of chips, a few cookies ... these are just the start in the Tailgater mission.  For many physical hunger is only a front for the much greater need of hope, acceptance, and reassurance.

When relationships are established so much more is revealed ... life stories of addiction, rejection, illness, hopelessness, and hard times are shared and trust is rebuilt.

Many are hardened and disappointed, and some are fearful ... but on Sunday afternoon they are finding unconditional love and acceptance.  We are creating a safe and welcoming place .  A place to stay a little longer and talk a little more freely, a place where questions can be asked, concerns expressed, all in a non-judgmental setting.  A place where communion is available for all, and God begins to work through us.  It is a privilege.

"He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the Lord and He shall repay him. " - Proverbs 19:17
